Pledges & Donations Received £11,000

Welcome - POOL SAVED

Following discussions with North Somerset Council I am pleased to announce that we have agreed heads of terms for our commercial contract and the property lease.

One of the most important agreements regards the length of he lease, North Somerset have agreed that the Trust will have an option to renew the initial one year lease for a period of 99 years, this is subject to three reasonable conditions regarding fundraising, marketing and the cafe, the deadline for meeting these conditions is April 2010 but we expect to have fulfilled these conditions by the end of May 2009.

I would like to thank everyone involved in this campaign for their continued support even when it looked hopeless.

I am also please to announce that we have received confirmation that TY's Great British Adventure, has selected our pool for a makeover, they will be starting in the middle of May and helping us to achieve our goals in just 7 days, it is fantastic that we have been chosen and followed lots of hard work behind the scenes.

At the start of this campaign we set a fundraising target of £20,000, it is important that we hit this target as soon as possible, so I know it's asking lot in this current climate but please send us your donations, or put your donation into one of our many collection boxes in Portishead shops and be a part of securing the future of our open air pool for the next 100 years.

To pledge your support please send an email with your name, address and phone number to pool@nortechcomputers.co.uk.
